It is the policy of
CALAYA
Engineering & Services Limited
to provide product and services of the
highest quality and reliability. It is also our policy
to comply with applicable customer relations and
regulatory requirements including Quality System
requirements as defined by ISO 9001, 1994 Edition
COMPETENCY ASSURANCE POLICY STATEMENT
Our competency assurance
policy is aimed at ensuring that our employees are
trained and certified to international standards of API,
ASME, ASNT, AWS, NACE and OSHA or any other
international safety standard. Continuous training is
conducted by certified trainers both internally (by
in-house trainers) and externally.
COMMUNITY AFFAIRS POLICY
It is the
policy of CALAYA ENGINEERING SERVICES LIMITED to
develop and encourage long
term and
mutually beneficial activities for
cordial relationships with host communities. Hence, our
policy shall be:

To comply with the
requirements of our client’s policy on community
affairs.

To relate cordially with
the host community

To employ the locals for
labour in all our operations
·
To liaise with client
and community representatives – Project Engineer, and
the Community Liaison Officer CLO respectively in
handling Community problems that may arise from time to
time.

To ensure that line CLOs
are contacted and informed of all activities relating to
community grievances
·
To have close liaison
with the CLOs in order to improve the focus and
interaction with host communities in areas where we
operate
·
To be concerned with the
needs of our host communities.
SECURITY POLICY
CALAYA ENGINEERING SERVICES LIMITED
has it as a policy and function to manage Security
Affairs as an integral part of her overall HSE Programme,
and indeed Part of the Company’s business so as to
minimize the number of security related incidents for
all staff, clients and third party personnel involved in
her operations.
To
ensure the implementation of this policy, the Company
shall engage adequate number of trained resource
personnel. The Company shall engage Security Officers
who should organize, co-ordinate and implement all the
Company’s security ideals and programmes. In addition
to Company’s unarmed security operatives, the service of
a licensed and professional security organization shall
be secured on retainer-ship to act as support to the
Company’s System if need be. The services of security
agencies, such as Police Force, shall be sought in very
rare circumstances such as riots, and armed attacks.
At
Project location, local security men shall be used to
protect the Company’s equipment and facilities in a bid
to forge good rapport between the Company and the host
Community.
Owing
to cases of threats, piracy, armed robbery and Community
mob actions/assault that characterises operations in the
Swamp, Site Security shall be beefed up by using
trained/armed security men to avert any danger and
enhance security emergencies management.
Security work gadgets such as walkie-talkie, torches,
(as the case may be) shall be provided to enhance their
services.
Security items shall form part of site CASHES briefings
and toolbox meeting, and incidents must be reviewed in
site/management CASHES meetings. Security
training/drills shall be conducted for increased
security awareness. |
